Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Associate to support the General Counsel in various tasks, including contract review, negotiation, and drafting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in creating agendas for meetings and distributing relevant materials.
- Attend meetings, take accurate notes, and prepare meeting summaries.
- Define and develop internal legal governance policies.
- Identify key risks facing the Group and provide management with advice on emerging risks and exposures.
- Oversee commercial transactions from an early stage to minimize disputes.
- Develop legal solutions from concept through implementation.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdiction with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- 3 - 6 years working experience with reputable law firms and/or international companies with legal knowledge in APAC region (including China), in-house experience is preferable.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, good command of both spoken and written Chinese and Mandarin is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels.
