About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Post-doctoral Fellow to join our interdisciplinary research teams, led by Professor Yike GUO. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), leveraging the expertise of our team members from HKUST Machine Creativity Lab (MACRE Lab) and Hong Kong Generative AI Center (HKGAI).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent scientific research projects, focusing on Large Language Models, Visual Large Models, and Music Generation.
  • Collaborate with professors, researchers, and industrial partners from DeepMind, Huawei, IBM, Ping An, and JD Research Institutes.
  • Pursue high-impact research, resulting in publications, patents, or innovative products.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A PhD degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch and deep learning algorithms.
  • Excellent academic record, with a strong track record of research achievements, such as high-star open-source projects or highly cited conference papers.
