About the DepartmentThe Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is a vibrant community of 30+ faculty members, 400+ undergraduate students, and 400+ postgraduate students. We possess world-leading expertise in aeroacoustics, mechanics, materials, manufacturing, and energy technologies. Our research focuses on various areas, including:
- Aerodynamics and aeroacoustics
- Aerospace structures and materials
- Air transport and operations
- Autonomous systems and control
- Electric and hydrogen propulsion
- Intelligent transportation systems
- Satellite communication and navigation
- Sustainable aviation
We are seeking outstanding candidates with a strong commitment to research and teaching in the field of Aerospace Engineering. Applicants should have a PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering or related fields and a strong record of research and teaching excellence. As a faculty member, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be expected to establish an externally-funded research program and contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
What We OfferCompetitive salaries commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Ample opportunities for professional growth and development are available. Fringe benefits, including medical and dental benefits, annual leave, and housing benefits, where applicable, will be provided. Appointment as Professor will be on a substantive basis, while appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor will normally be on a three-year contract. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
