Product Development Leadership Opportunity

About the Role

Classy Wheeler Limited is seeking an experienced Product Development Director to lead our Product Development Team in delivering new products to market according to agreed schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Product Development Team which includes Cloud, App, Embedded Software, Hardware and Mechanical Design teams.
  • Approve Performance Related Bonuses for Development Team members.
  • Work with Product Management, Project Management and Quality Assurance teams to define product specifications, development targets, schedules and budgets.
  • Define systems architecture and test plans for new products.
  • Project synchronization: planning, resources, reporting, risks, test/validation, organize equipment, budget.
  • Guarantee product development homogeneity so that milestones and budgets are met or exceeded.
  • Define technology roadmap according to the Company's strategic targets.
  • Communicate with customers on technical issues to assist Sales Teams in closing deals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in product development with at least 5+ years at managerial level; having worked with wireless communication products/systems is preferred.
  • Good communication and people management skills – ability to motivate the team to achieve a common target.
  • Strong management and reporting skills, organized and ability to multi-task.
  • Self-motivated and ability to persevere in times of adversity.
  • Ability to engage with customers and explain technical issues in laymen's terms.
  • Practical experience with Cloud and App based product development; or embedded product for communication applications would be advantageous.
  • Good language skills in English are essential.
