Job Summary

The City University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the Student and Receipts Team in performing various duties, including managing accounts receivable, collecting tuition fees, and preparing cash flow forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collect tuition fees, student charges, government subvention, donations, and miscellaneous income.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and tuition fee reviews.
  • Place fixed deposits and monitor investment performance.
  • Administer the University's online payment platform.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and a qualified accountant with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience in universities or sizable organizations.
  • Relevant treasury experience in cash flow management and investment accounting/reporting.
  • Proficiency in PC applications and strong analytical skills in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and commitment, good supervisory skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle Financials, Banner Students, or other ERP systems is preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

The remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract, with fringe benefits including gratuity, leave, medical, and dental schemes.
