Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will undertake responsibilities for ASD projects, which include:
  • Evaluating and analyzing site data and potential limitations for development initiatives.
  • Overseeing and directing the implementation of landscape projects, ensuring the conservation and safeguarding of existing trees, along with conducting tree risk evaluations.
  • Offering expert guidance on landscape projects, encompassing both hardscape and softscape elements, establishment activities, tree management, and related risk assessments.
  • Reviewing and providing professional feedback on submissions required during the pre-AIP, AIP, and DDA phases.
  • Executing tasks as directed by the Supervising Officer or their representatives.
  • Assessing landscape submissions, including hardscape, softscape, establishment activities, tree management, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Level 2 in both Chinese and English languages in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or an equivalent qualification.
    (Note: Grade 'E' in Chinese and English language (syllabus B) in HKCEE prior to 2007 are accepted as comparable to 'Level 2' in the 2007 HKCEE and onwards).
  • At least 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • A professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects and a registered landscape architect recognized by the Landscape Architects Registration Board of Hong Kong under the Landscape Architects Registration Ordinance (Cap.516).

Note: Candidates with insufficient post-qualification experience but who have passed the PPE exam of HKILA may be considered. Similarly, candidates without passing the PPE exam but possessing adequate relevant experience may also be considered.
