About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Risk Manager to lead our Business Risk Management team at EFG International. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to drive risk management excellence and make a significant impact on our organization.

Job Summary

  • To spearhead the development of comprehensive risk and control assessments, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational risk appetite.
  • Leverage expertise to oversee the First Line of Defense (FLOD) testing program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a robust risk-based control monitoring framework, guaranteeing the adequacy and effectiveness of key controls.
  • Foster a strong risk awareness culture across the business, working closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices.
  • Stay abreast of new regulations and procedures, analyzing their impact on our operations and contributing to the development of compliant processes.
  • Conduct thematic reviews to identify emerging risks and develop actionable recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Promote a proactive approach to risk escalation, reporting, and advice, maintaining open communication channels with senior management.
  • Lead the FLOD Risk Scorecard initiative, driving accurate tracking, execution, and integrity in risk assessment.
  • Cultivate relationships with key internal stakeholders, representing Business Risk effectively and providing counsel on investment advisory activities.
  • Design and deliver training programs on risk monitoring, ensuring relevant stakeholders possess the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Drive process improvements and platform changes to enhance control governance frameworks.
  • Take charge of assigned projects and investigations, demonstrating leadership and analytical prowess.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 10 years' experience in private banking or a related field, with at least 4 years of team management experience.
    • Extensive knowledge of private banking products, data analysis, and general risk management principles.
    • Strong people management skills, ability to work under pressure, and a proven track record of delivering results.
