Overview

ALL-STAR AGENCY is a high-growth corporate bank with a strong presence in the region, continuously investing in expansion and growth. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President - Syndications to join our syndicated loans department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of securing transactions, including sales, credit analysis, due diligence, and execution, to maintain our edge in the syndicated loan market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Syndication Loan Management: Structure, underwrite, distribute, and execute syndication loans in Asia, encompassing plain vanilla corporate loans and structured transactions.
  • Deal Origination Support: Assist in deal origination efforts, including business, legal, and financial due diligence, credit analysis, drafting term sheets, reviewing financing documents, and coordinating between internal and external parties.
  • Internal Approval and Compliance: Support internal approval and compliance processes, working closely with credit, legal, and compliance departments.
  • Negotiation and Agreement: Assist in negotiating satisfactory terms and conditions, including financial covenants and forms of security, to comply with lending criteria.
  • Project Coordination: Track deliverables against execution timetables to ensure timely and successful transaction closings.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain good working relationships with banks and other financial institutions in the region.
  • Client Support: Assist relationship managers in maintaining close client relationships and addressing structuring and executional issues.
  • Network Growth: Support and help grow the syndication network and loan trading platform in Asia.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in banking with prior loan syndication sales experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or economics from a reputable university.
  • Skills: A proactive and collaborative individual who works well cross-functionally and regionally with colleagues, effectively negotiates with external and internal counterparties, and communicates effectively in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
