Position Overview
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking a dedicated individual to provide essential support in our research laboratories. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of scientific projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive laboratory, logistical, and operational assistance while participating in project oversight.
- Systematically organize and store all chemicals in accordance with safety protocols.
- Assist the project leader or supervisor in the management and upkeep of science laboratories, ensuring they are well-maintained through inventory checks, supply replenishment, and equipment cleaning.
- Prepare materials and apparatus for Chemistry and Energy simulation experiments, which may involve handling electrical equipment, chemicals, specimens, and various resources.
- Provide administrative support, including managing trading documents and overseeing stock levels.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of one year of relevant experience; however, recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge and research experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of polymers, nanoparticles, or composites is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English and Chinese are necessary.
- A collaborative team player is preferred.
