Job Summary

The appointee will undertake technical duties in a molecular diagnostic laboratory at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting molecular diagnostic tests, analyzing results, and providing technical support to the laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct molecular diagnostic tests using various techniques, including PCR and sequencing
  • Analyze results and provide technical support to the laboratory team
  • Develop and implement new molecular diagnostic tests and protocols
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized university or technical institute
  • Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technologist under Part II or above of the Register of the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board in Hong Kong
  • Valid Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board
  • Work experience in histopathology laboratories or molecular laboratories preferred

Appointment Terms

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
