We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Distribution Compliance to join our team at Manulife. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our distribution compliance efforts and ensuring that our business operations are in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Lead the team in identifying new regulatory changes affecting distribution operations, advise on relevant impacts, and drive changes to meet compliance requirements.
- Control Monitoring Framework: Ensure the continuous implementation and effectiveness of the Control Monitoring Framework for all distribution channels.
- Compliance Monitoring: Oversee the team in conducting proactive compliance monitoring and reviews on distributors' licensing status, sales marketing materials, sales conduct, and controls.
- Compliance Advice: Provide solid and practical compliance advice and support on distribution operations and business initiatives.
- Investigations: Conduct investigations into distributors' misconduct allegations and related complaints, identify non-compliance, and recommend disciplinary action.
- Training and Communication: Assign team members to effectively communicate, educate, and train distribution operation staff and distributors on regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Ensure the team's compliance with Company's Regulatory Risk Management Program and Risk Governance framework.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with the Insurance Authority, MPFA, AMCM, Law Enforcement Agencies, and business counterparts.
- Education: Degree in Law, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or Business-related disciplines.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience working in legal and/or compliance fields in insurance, pension industry, or financial services sector.
- Skills: Sound knowledge of insurance and MPF regulatory requirements, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Language: Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
