The Technology Risk team at KPMG is dedicated to guiding clients through the complexities of technology risk and compliance. We support all lines of defense in effectively managing technology-related risks through strategic and tactical methodologies. Our professionals leverage industry insights, IT control expertise, and innovative tools to navigate the intricate landscape of technology risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, development, and execution of IT-related internal audits and risk assessments, focusing on areas such as cybersecurity, IT governance, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate client processes and controls against industry best practices, identifying gaps and providing actionable recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate with client teams to implement new processes and controls to mitigate identified risks.
  • Prepare detailed executive summaries and final reports for senior management, ensuring documentation aligns with KPMG and industry standards.
  • Participate in kickoff, status, and closing meetings, contributing to the enhancement of our technology risk knowledge base.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Consultant
  • Lead IT-related risk assessments with a focus on strategic and operational risks.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients and the engagement team, enhancing our internal practice development initiatives.
  • Oversee and mentor consultants during engagements.
Experience & Background
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT internal audit, risk management, or compliance, either as an internal employee or within a consultancy.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience; relevant certifications such as CISA, PMP, CISSP, or CRISC are preferred.
  • Experience in conducting risk-based IT audits and assessments, utilizing frameworks like COBIT, NIST, and ITIL.
  • Proven track record in implementing internal control processes for IT.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively to clients and senior management.
