Job Title: Trainee – Credit Monitoring

Job Summary:

The Credit Monitoring & Reporting team is responsible for monitoring and controlling counterparty risks generated by the Bank's business activities. We are seeking a Trainee to assist the team in performing all CMR assignments in due time and enhancing current processes and workflow to gain in production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage authorizations on the local perimeter and ensure consistency against credit decision
  • Ensure internal and regulatory requirements are met for new/renewed facilities booked in HK
  • Control utilizations against authorizations and limits through identification, investigation, and reporting of anomalies
  • Contribute to the overall consistency and quality of risk information related to counterparties, limits, authorizations, and utilizations
  • Maintain the accuracy of risk data used in internal or regulatory reports and rectification of any data feeding issues
  • Participate in the reconciliation of risk databases with accounting databases, review, and report of Weighted Assets

Candidate Criteria:

  • Bachelor Degree/BSc Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in Credit Risk Monitoring, basic knowledge of bank financial products
  • Good communicator with the ability to interact with different functions of the Bank
  • Motivated, ability to adapt to multi-tasking and work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate across the hierarchy
  • Knowledge of Banking Products and Credit processes
  • Proficient in spreadsheet operation as well as working knowledge in programming

Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and native language
