POSITION OVERVIEW

As a vital member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, which includes tasks such as portioning, chopping, and storing food items. Your role will involve washing and peeling fresh produce, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients accurately. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, ensuring adherence to quality and presentation standards.

In addition to cooking, you will be tasked with preparing cold dishes and operating kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. It is essential to test foods to ensure they are cooked to perfection and to monitor food quality throughout the preparation process. You will also be responsible for setting up and breaking down your workstation, serving food in appropriate portions, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, including tables, tools, knives, and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow all company policies regarding safety and security.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions to management.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Foster positive working relationships with team members and support collective goals.
  • Adhere to quality expectations and standards consistently.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a related culinary role.

Supervisory Experience: Not required.

Certification: None required.
