Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Specialist to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our Asset Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our business in the APAC region.

About the Role:

As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for attending and running a daily escalation forum for the region, reviewing all risk factors surrounding in-flight events and preparing and sending minutes to risk and senior management. You will also be responsible for processing all Corporate Actions/Income on Bond Connect, RQFII, China B, and LGC positions, monitoring events coming in for any exceptions and short fused events, and providing technical support to the process line on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend and run a daily escalation forum for the region, reviewing all risk factors surrounding in-flight events and preparing and sending minutes to risk and senior management.
  • Process all Corporate Actions/Income on Bond Connect, RQFII, China B, and LGC positions.
  • Monitor events coming in for any exceptions and short fused events.
  • Provide technical support to the process line on a daily basis.
  • Identify process improvements, analyze the impact that the changes bring, and provide training to the process line.
  • Monitor Nostro and depot breaks, ensure clearance in line with CMR rules and regulations.
  • Provide escalation of any risk immediately, acting as the first point of contact for NOC within Hong Kong.
  • Ensure all incident reports are submitted in accordance with the Service Level Document.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in Asset Services, must have covered APAC market previously.
  • Product knowledge: All products.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and work as part of a team (including remote teams).
  • High personal motivational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
