Job Summary

The Bar Supervisor - Service Excellence role is a critical position within Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, responsible for ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained in our lounges. This individual will work closely with the Lounge Service Delivery Manager and Premium Service Team to deliver personalized experiences for premium customers and VIPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Lounge Service Delivery Manager and Premium Service Team to develop and implement service excellence strategies.
  • Lead the front of house bar team, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Liaise with the back of house team to ensure seamless daily operations and address any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the working environment.
  • Ensure standardization and consistency in beverage preparation, presentation, and quality.
  • Manage bar beverage stock levels and inventory control.
  • Follow all safety, hygiene, sanitation, breakage control, preventive maintenance, and service standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest regulatory and service requirements, ensuring alignment of policies and procedures with operational standards.
  • Develop and train the bar team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated and highly competent in beverage knowledge, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and tea.
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Assist guests in taking orders and provide menu recommendations.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of drinks and snacks according to specifications.
  • Address bespoke drink requests and maintain customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in lounge operations, catering hospitality, fine dining, sizeable luxury hotel, or similar capacity.
  • Relevant working experience in catering hospitality, fine dining, and sizeable luxury hotel or in similar capacity is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails. With wine and beverage certificate or relevant certificates will be an advantage.
  • Polished communication skills with fluent spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resilience to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with flair in delivering service excellence.
  • Able to work shift duties including overnight shifts.
