About the Role

We are seeking a charismatic Bar Manager to join our team at The Optimist, a renowned Northern Spanish grill on Hennessy Road. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our high-volume bar operation, ensuring that our team is well-trained and motivated, and consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the bar at all times, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Train and develop the team in all aspects of service, including cocktail making and customer service.
  • Be the face of the operations, representing the brand and embodying our values of Teamwork, Be Nice, Commitment, and Positivity.
  • Deal with any issues that may arise, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Organise staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • Order, monitor, and maintain stock, controlling costs and wastage to achieve agreed budget.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a Bar Manager, with a proven track record of success.
  • Possess a passion for cocktail making and a strong understanding of mixology.
  • Strong management skills, with a positive mindset and friendly image.
  • Understanding in MS Office and excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Self-organised and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to excellence.
  • Good business sense and operational, administrative, and social skills.
  • Passion, determination, and commitment for success in the F&B industry.
