We are seeking a highly experienced Global Data Protection and Compliance Expert to join our team at Tencent.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned data protection and compliance professional to advise on all aspects of our global privacy compliance program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and support to our global businesses to ensure compliance with international data privacy and personal information collection rules, regulations, and standards.
- Develop and implement programs to facilitate compliance with global privacy laws and regulations, including data protection, data security, and data breach rules.
- Manage outside counsel for all privacy law projects and draft, review, negotiate, and administer legal and commercial documentations.
- Analyze global privacy legal requirements and keep stakeholders abreast of new laws and regulations that may impact our business.
Requirements:
- A common law qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE, including experience in a law firm and/or in-house.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach and ability to handle matters independently.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) language skills.
What We Offer
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on complex global data protection and compliance issues and make a significant impact on our business. You will be part of a dynamic team and receive a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
