The Hong Kong Palace Museum is seeking a Curator to join its team and contribute to the realisation of its vision and mission. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated museum showcasing exquisite artefacts from the Palace Museum's collections.
Responsibilities include:
- Formulating strategic plans for exhibitions, collections, and relevant curatorial programmes;
- Planning and implementing exhibitions, publications, and curatorial activities to develop understanding of Chinese and world history, art, and culture;
- Coordinating with international and regional museums and institutions to identify collaborative opportunities;
- Leading content development and conducting academic research for museum exhibitions and publications;
- Managing teams by providing coaching and guidance on delivering exhibitions;
The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in a relevant field, at least 8 years of experience in curatorial and museum-related work, and expertise in research or exhibition projects with Chinese decorative arts.
