Key Responsibilities

  • Algorithm Implementation: Implement algorithms for risk modeling and PnL calculations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Software Optimization: Ensure that software is scalable, efficient, and adheres to best practices, with a focus on code quality and maintainability.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems, providing timely and effective support to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Mentorship and Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Agile Development: Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Documentation: Document code, processes, and workflows for future reference, ensuring knowledge retention and transfer.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python and C++.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in financial services or a related industry, particularly with risk management or PnL systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, with familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of financial instruments and market risk concepts.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
