Solutions Architect

As a Solution Architect within the eCommerce Product Content domain at vidaXL, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the architecture of our product content management ecosystem. This includes the Product Information Management (PIM) system and its integrations with platforms such as our webshops (SFCC), CRM, ERP, BI, and external sales channels. You will define scalable, future‑proof technical strategies to manage and distribute high‑quality, consistent, and localized product content across multiple countries and channels. Working closely with product owners, content teams, and development squads, you will help ensure that our architecture supports both current business needs and long‑term growth. Job Description Design a future‑oriented (2–4 year) architecture roadmap for the product content domain that supports the company’s international eCommerce strategy. Own the end‑to‑end architecture of product data systems including PIM, asset management, data modeling, content enrichment, localization, and channel syndication. Evaluate and guide the selection or evolution of PIM platforms (e.g., Salsify, Akeneo, Riversand) to meet growing content needs and integration requirements. Define and enforce scalable product data models, attribute structures, taxonomy standards, and multilingual content frameworks. Architect integrations between the PIM and other platforms like SFCC (webshops), CRM, ERP, BI, and marketing platforms using APIs, middleware, or ESB tools. Support cross‑channel product content distribution strategies for internal platforms and third‑party marketplaces. Collaborate with business teams to translate content‑related business needs into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. Define data governance rules and processes for product data quality, lifecycle management, access control, and approval workflows. Provide guidance and oversight to development teams on architecture principles, best practices, and technical solutions. Stay up to date with trends in PIM, headless commerce, content syndication, and AI‑assisted enrichment, bringing innovative ideas to the table. Skills and Experience 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, preferably with a strong focus on product content or PIM systems. 8+ years of experience working in eCommerce platforms or product‑related technology. 6+ years of experience implementing or integrating with major PIM platforms (e.g., Salsify, Akeneo, inRiver, Stibo Systems). Strong understanding of product content lifecycle: data modeling, attribute enrichment, media handling, content approvals, and localization. Solid experience designing APIs and integrations between PIM and platforms like SFCC, CRM, ERP, BI, or marketplaces. Familiarity with eCommerce product content requirements including channel‑specific content rules, taxonomy best practices, and media asset distribution. Knowledge of data governance, product data quality management, and compliance with product content standards (e.g., GS1). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines. Comfortable working in agile environments and collaborating across product, business, and technical teams. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Familiarity with tools like Mulesoft, RabbitMQ, MongoDB and middleware/API gateways. Background in international, multi‑language, multi‑brand eCommerce environments. Exposure to AI‑driven product tagging, automated content enrichment, or image processing is a plus.
