Job Responsibilities The Manager (Innovation) supports the Head of IT and Senior Manager (Innovation) to advance the vision, strategy, and methodologies used to innovate aviation security and their operations, introduce novel or disruptive ideas, improve existing processes, and create a culture of innovation within the Company. The position will implement innovative strategies, manage the programme for continuous innovation, evaluate technologies to innovate aviation security, manage proof of concept projects, and foster a culture of creativity among the staff. Specific responsibilities include: Research new technological trends in aviation security to help AVSECO stay up to date; Identify opportunities for innovation and assess the feasibility of new ideas, leading proof of concepts and operational trials; Communicate with and inspire ideas from operation divisions on potential improvements and innovations; Manage technology roadmap to keep track of readiness of technologies; and Keep track and report progress of the portfolio of innovation projects. Job Requirements Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends, and their potential applications in aviation security for screening, access control and intrusion detection; Proven experience leading innovation initiatives in a corporate environment with cross‑functional teams; Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Information & Communication Technologies, or related fields with 5 years of relevant working experience; Preferably 3 years of relevant managerial experience in the implementation of new technologies; Preferably with experience in the aviation and/or security industry; Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities for new ideas; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams at all levels; Track record of leading cross‑functional teams; Familiarity with various innovation methodologies and tools to drive the innovation process; and Fluent in both English and Chinese, Putonghua a definite asset.
