Job Description Mining Investment Manager Location: Hong Kong SAR (with overseas travel and site‑based assignments) Company: Strategic Mining Investment Arm of a China State‑Owned Enterprise About The Company We are a strategic mining investment arm of a China state‑owned enterprise. Recognized as a leading force in the global metals and mining sector, our mission is to secure upstream resources and expand international supply chains. Our portfolio includes exploration, development, and production of key metallic minerals such as copper, zinc, gold, and nickel. Position Overview We are seeking a technically proficient and investment‑driven professional to support the identification, evaluation, and execution of overseas mining investment projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mining operations, combined with the ability to assess and manage strategic investments. Frequent travel to international mining sites is expected. Key Responsibilities Report to the Head of Overseas Mining Investment Division. Conduct research and analysis on global mining industry trends to identify and qualify overseas mining assets for investment. Participate in feasibility studies and operational evaluations of targeted mine sites. Support the implementation and promotion of approved mining investment projects. Assist in post‑investment monitoring, performance tracking, and operational oversight. Coordinate with internal departments, external consultants, and joint venture partners. Prepare detailed analytical reports and formal documentation for senior management and investment committees. Undertake ad hoc assignments as directed by department leadership. Travel to overseas mining sites as required, including short‑ and medium‑term on‑site assignments. Ensure all activities align with corporate strategy and regulatory compliance standards. Ideal Candidates Master’s degree in geology, mining engineering, mineral processing, metallurgy, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in overseas mining operations or investment projects. Strong technical foundation in mining, mineral processing, and geology. Familiarity with mine development, construction, and operational workflows. Working knowledge of finance, accounting, and investment principles is advantageous. Prior exposure to overseas mining investment projects is preferred. Proficient in both English and Putonghua. Strong analytical, reporting, and drafting skills. Proficiency in office productivity tools and reporting software. Willingness to travel and work short‑term and medium‑term on‑site at overseas mining locations as required.
