No Offer Description Applications are invited for a joint appointment as Tenure-track Professor/Associate Professor in Global Monetary Policy at the School of Governance and Policy and the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: ), to commence on July 6, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three‑year fixed‑term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three‑year fixed‑term contract. The appointment rank will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Exceptionally outstanding candidate may be considered for appointment on direct tenure terms subject to the University’s approval. The School of Governance and Policy (SGP) Established in 2025, SGP aspires to be the leading global hub for governance and policy scholarship and education, rooted in Hong Kong’s unique role as a bridge between China and the world, empowering leaders across Asia and beyond with strategic insight, analytical rigor, and cross‑sector collaboration. By fostering multidisciplinary knowledge, we aim to strengthen governance systems, enrich multilateral understanding, and drive transformative policy impact. Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be expected to teach courses offered in postgraduate programmes related to monetary policy, and/or quantitative research. He/She will also contribute actively to research and knowledge exchange, programme development at postgraduate level, and assume service/administrative responsibilities as appropriate. Requirements Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in economics, public policy or a closely related field; strong teaching and outstanding research experience in any relevant specialism of quantitative research in central banks, global coordination of cross‑border transmission, management of global financial crises, intersection of monetary and fiscal policy tools, and governance of digital currencies, among others; and an excellent track record in research, scholarly publications and competitive external funding. What We Offer A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract‑end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
