Exceptionally outstanding candidate may be considered for appointment on tenure terms.Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology, Virology, or related disciplines and demonstrate a strong track record in virological research. They should have attained international recognition for their scholarly achievements and professional expertise. In addition, they should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, capacity building, and the mentoring of early-career researchers. Experience in supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students is essential. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated record of administrative leadership in academic or healthcare institutions.The appointee is expected to take up a key role in achieving the highest standards of teaching and research within the Department; fostering academic collaboration within and outside the Faculty/University; as well as contributing to the strategic development and future direction of the Department.A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.The University only accepts online application for the above post.
