Overview We are seeking a motivated Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor to join the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: ) on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. We encourage applicants with an expanding research profile and a curiosity-driven approach that will enhance the world-class research portfolio of the Department and the Faculty. The Department focuses on understanding drugs to develop medicines with high safety and efficacy. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in drug discovery, pharmaceutical technology, drug delivery, and translational science, and those who can foster interdisciplinary collaborations within LKS Faculty of Medicine at HKU. The appointee will conduct independent and collaborative scholarly research, undertake administrative duties at the Department and Faculty levels, and contribute to curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in pharmaceutical science. They may also contribute to teaching programmes in medicine, biomedical sciences, nursing, and/or Chinese medicine. Information about the Department can be obtained at A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
