Senior/Regional Tax Manager – Asia Pacific We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Regional Tax Manager to lead and champion all aspects of the group’s tax compliance management, international tax reporting, tax strategy and planning, transfer pricing, restructuring, and M&A projects across the Asia Pacific region. This role requires a specialized focus on China, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives while ensuring operational excellence. Company Overview The Knorr‑Bremse Group, based in Munich, is the world’s leading manufacturer of braking systems and a leading supplier of safety‑critical sub‑systems for rail and commercial vehicles. Responsibilities Corporate & International Tax Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of corporate tax regulations and planning strategies across key jurisdictions, including CIT, WHT, and indirect taxes. Tax Compliance Leadership: Supervise and participate hands‑on in local tax accounting, tax filings, customs declarations, and internal tax reporting to ensure full compliance. Global Tax Principles: Provide strong guidance on international tax principles, including tax treaties, transfer pricing, Pillar Two, and global tax reporting regimes. Tax Accounting Standards: Demonstrate proficiency in tax accounting standards and ensure accurate reporting across the region. Advisory Role: Act as a trusted tax advisor for Asia Pacific holding companies, supporting strategic decisions and business growth. Project Leadership: Lead and champion tax‑related projects, including M&A transactions, restructuring, and cross‑border initiatives. Requirements At least 12 years of international tax experience with a focus on China and Hong Kong tax (focus on corporate tax and transfer pricing). Experience gained from a Big 4 accounting firm (minimum 5 years) or MNCs is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, with professional qualification: CPA or ACCA or HKICPA. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and with a proven track record in tax strategy and execution. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently, results‑driven, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex environment. Proactive professional who collaborates across functionals to help the business navigate complex tax environment and manage risks.
