About the Role We are looking for an ambitious individual with entrepreneurial spirit to join our Commercial team. He/she will lead our trade finance origination efforts in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. This role is an individual contributor and critical to expanding our asset pipeline, deepening client relationships, and driving revenue growth across the region. What you will be doing: Developing client value proposition in the space of supply chain finance (“SCF”) and receivables finance (“RF”): Lead and manage the exploration and development of business initiatives based on market opportunities and lead the assessment of the business case internally. Collaborate with internal teams such as Digital Solutions, Risk & Compliance, Data & Technology, and others to build the proposition. Contribute to Olea’s overall origination strategy and identify new partners to strengthen the ecosystem. Driving origination: Develop and manage partnerships with third party digital platforms and other partners for origination and buyer/supplier acquisition to achieve business target. Manage & lead direct origination by engaging with prospect clients (buyers and suppliers) and manage client relationship thereafter. Manage & lead origination of trade finance assets across Hong Kong and GBA, focusing on high-quality counterparties and structured deals Leading end-to-end execution: Lead all aspects of deal execution from structuring, commercial negotiation, and legal documentation to tech or operational setup, etc. Develop the investment thesis and work closely with Distribution team to pitch the same to the investors for the programme. What you will require to be successful: 10+ years of experience in trade finance, structured finance, or corporate banking. Knowledge of SCF and RF products and related risks, including but not limited to credit risk, fraud risk, FCC risk, legal risks, etc. Experience working with digital supply chain finance platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of the cross-border trade financing/commodity trading landscape in Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong. Strong network across Hong Kong and GBA corporates and financial institutions. Experience working with fintech platforms or alternative lenders is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. 10+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Trade Product Development, with 2+ years in an active Partnership Management role preferred. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good team-player, but also able to work independently and make logical decisions.
