Vacancy Notification Circular No. NTE Patient Care Assistant II (Pharmacy) Position: Patient Care Assistant II (Pharmacy) Rank: Patient Care Assistant II Cluster: New Territories East Cluster Pay: HK$19,764 - HK$24,701 per month Up to 5% of total basic salary as end‑of‑contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities Perform duties to support the pharmacy dispensing processes (e.g., ward drug stock top‑ups, pre‑packing of drugs, stock replenishment, stock take and checking expiry dates). Assist in the compounding of sterile & non‑sterile pharmaceutical items. Provide technical support to the procurement section and assist in store management and stock replenishment of pharmaceutical items and consumables. Supervise and coordinate subordinates. Perform daily cleansing and routine maintenance of pharmacy equipment. Handle general enquiries from other healthcare professionals and patients. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Entry Requirements F.5/S.5 or equivalent. (See Remarks) Completed structured departmental training. (See Remarks) Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken. Possess working experience in a hospital. Passes in 5 subjects in HKCEE including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language; OR 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:- Level 2 in English Language & Chinese Language; AND- Level 2 in New Senior Secondary Subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in other Language subjects, or equivalent. Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing. Good communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills. Pleasant and mature personality, interested to work in a hospital environment. Self‑motivated, responsible and able to work independently. Have basic knowledge of stock operation. Applicants who do not meet entry requirement (2), if found suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months' structured departmental training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training. Serving staff with F.3/S.3 with 2 years' related work experience within HA may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level and eligible to apply for this post.
