Network Security Consultant

Responsibilities Manage network infrastructure including appliances, firewalls and VPNs. Administer security matters such as server configuration, firewall policies and endpoint protection. Conduct in‑house security assessments, training and compliance audits for external parties. Provide support for security incidents and execute Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) activities. Offer technical advice to support business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve objectives. Carry out other technical and administrative duties as assigned by management. Qualifications At least five years of full‑time IT experience, with a minimum of two years in a comparable role. Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in implementing, maintaining and administering network facilities such as firewalls, VPNs, routers and switches. Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in IT security management, including risk assessment, audits, penetration tests and security training. Valid certificates of CISSP and/or CISA. Customer‑oriented, able to work under pressure, willing to work after office hours and on‑call as required. Preferred Certifications CCNA / CCNP Fortinet NSE 5 Palo Alto Networks Next‑Generation Firewall Engineer ISO 27001 / ISMS Preferred Technologies Load balancer, Wi‑Fi, IPv6, etc. Network monitoring products such as Zabbix, PRTG, etc. Next‑Generation Firewall, Intrusion Protection System, Web Application Firewall, Network Detection and Response, Public Key Infrastructure, anti‑malware, anti‑spam, end‑point security, CDN, IEEE 802.1x, etc. Technical Skills Router Configuration (ROU) – 2 years Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SAA) – 2 years Security Incident Detection and Handling (SDH) – 2 years IT Security Scanning Tools (SST) – 2 years Cisco IOS Software & Cisco Products (CIP) – 2 years Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS), Network & System Management (NSM), Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS), Virtual Private Network (VPN), Wireless and Mobile (WLM) – advantage Non‑Technical Skills Experience working with Government – 2 years Conduct IT training/briefing – 1 year Managing Government projects – advantage IT service/outsourcing management – advantage Education Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
