Network and Security Consultant

Responsibilities Evaluate existing network security measures and identify potential vulnerabilities. Develop and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs. Work closely with clients to understand their security requirements and provide tailored solutions. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on security best practices and policies. Implement and manage monitoring tools to detect and respond to security threats in real‑time for both customers and in‑house environments. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports. Keep abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to ensure the organization’s defenses remain robust, supported by company education funding. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Network/Security Consultant or similar role (typically 3+ years). Strong knowledge and proficiency in network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection. Well‑understanding of ITIL ITSM best practices; follow up daily operation for both client and internal IT. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation is optional. Relevant knowledge of products such as Palo Alto, HPE network, Fortinet, Mimecast, email filtering, WAF, and phishing products is a plus. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable. Permanent Hong Kong Resident is preferred. Expected salary in CV is needed for consideration.
