Position Summary The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a C-suite executive responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the company's global manufacturing enterprise. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the COO will play a critical role in developing and executing operational strategies, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production processes, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across all facilities. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with deep expertise in the textile/apparel manufacturing industry and a proven track record in managing large, multi-national operations. Key Responsibilities Operational Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement the company's operational strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and the Board's vision. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across all factories. Production Management: Oversee the entire manufacturing lifecycle, from production planning, quality control to final product delivery/logistics. Multi-Regional Facility Oversight: Manage and lead the General Managers/Factory Heads across our Vietnam, Cambodia, and China operations, ensuring consistent processes and performance standards are met. This includes frequent international travel to the various sites. Financial Acumen & Cost Control: Collaborate closely with the finance team to manage operational budgets, control costs, and evaluate financial risks and opportunities related to operational activities. Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are achieved. Compliance, Quality & Sustainability: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant industry standards, local regulatory requirements, and international compliance mandates. Champion quality assurance and sustainability initiatives. Leadership & Talent Management: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to senior management and the broader workforce of 17,000+ employees. Foster a positive, accountable, and innovative company culture that attracts and retains top talent. Stakeholder Relations: Act as a key liaison between the on-the-ground operations, the executive team, and the Board of Directors, ensuring transparent communication and alignment across business units. Qualifications and Skills Experience: Minimum of 20+ years of relevant experience in the apparel/textile manufacturing industry, with at least 10 years in senior operational leadership roles managing large, multi-site international facilities. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of garment production processes, supply chain management, procurement practices, and quality control specific to the apparel industry. Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (employees, suppliers, partners, Board members). Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a strong asset, given the regional factory locations.
