We are looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology : Temporary Research Assistant II (R6811) (S&T) - (25002K5) Job School/Unit : School of Science and Technology Closing Date : 05/Dec/2025, 3:59:00 PM Major Duties And Responsibilities The appointee will mainly assist the research team in the research project “Integrating Machine Learning and Environmental Modeling for Wind Prediction and Wildfire Simulation” (R6811). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Providing support in literature review and data analysis; Working with the Principal Investigator / supervisors to prepare report writing; and Conducting other research activities as instructed by the Investigators. Candidates Candidates Should Possess The Following Qualifications, Experience And Competence A Bachelor's degree or above in Science, Engineering or a related discipline; Basic knowledge of programming (e.g., Python or C++); Good knowledge of machine learning and/or weather prediction is an advantage; Strong sense of responsibility, effective organisational and interpersonal skills; and Good command of English and Chinese.
