They is seeking a strategic Regional Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and support business expansion. Role Summary The Regional Financial Controller will lead financial management across the APAC region, focusing on cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance in the F&B sector. This role involves overseeing multi-country teams, optimizing financial performance, and providing insights to drive profitability in a fast‑paced, inventory‑intensive industry. The ideal candidate will blend strategic acumen with hands‑on expertise in financial reporting and risk management. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including consolidated regional reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow forecasts. Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to senior management on cost efficiencies, revenue growth, and profitability in F&B operations. Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models tailored to F&B specifics, such as food cost management, inventory turnover, and supply chain expenses. Monitor operational costs (e.g., food, labor, overhead) and implement controls to minimize waste and enhance margins. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, including tax, statutory audits, IFRS/GAAP standards, and F&B‑specific guidelines (e.g., food safety financial implications). Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency fluctuations and supply‑chain disruptions across regions. Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor regional finance teams, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., operations, supply chain) to align financial strategies with business goals. Internal Controls & Audits: Design and implement robust internal controls, policies, and procedures for inventory management, procurement, and financial transactions. Coordinate external audits and resolve any findings promptly. Strategic Support: Provide financial advisory to regional executives on mergers, expansions, and investments. Leverage data analytics tools to forecast trends in the F&B market and support decision‑making. System Optimization: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for financial processes, ensuring data integrity and efficiency in multi‑entity environments. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is required. Experience: Minimum 10‑15 years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior controller or managerial role within the F&B, retail, or consumer goods industry. Proven experience in regional/multi‑country operations, including APAC markets. Skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with expertise in financial modelling, FP&A, and cash flow management. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel). Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
