Senior Buyer, Skincare and Cosmetics

Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Buyer to join our Asia Sourcing team. This role is pivotal in developing and executing the sourcing strategy for our Skincare and Cosmetics categories, directly contributing to year-over-year growth and profitability. You will be responsible for carry out and deliver category sourcing strategy, initiate regional value and sustainable business growth in a long term. Be independent, agile and team workable with strong market sense and innovation of skincare and cosmetics as well as in-depth brand understanding to well-engage to the brand growth and success. Daily work in the end-to-end product development and delivery process, ensuring projects are launched on time, in full, and meet all key performance indicators. As a project leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional global teams to drive innovation and excellence from concept to shelf, manage ongoing sales and replenishment to secure the categories growth and drive efficiency in way of working. A key part of your role will be to manage, develop, and strategically align our Asia-based supplier base with our ambitious growth plans, focusing on competitive costing, supply chain resilience, and superior quality. What you'll be doing? Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and implement the category sourcing strategy to deliver against brand and financial goals. Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and business data to inform quality sourcing decisions and identify new opportunities. Proactively manage macroeconomic factors, currency fluctuations, and commodity pricing to mitigate risks and drive profitability. End-to-End Product Delivery: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from initial brief to final delivery, ensuring alignment on cost, quality, and timeline. Act as a project leader, coordinating with cross-functional teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Packaging) and global stakeholders (US, UK) to ensure seamless execution. Manage and develop a robust supplier base in Asia, identifying and onboarding strategic manufacturing partners. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels. Work with the Quality & Ethics team to ensure full supplier compliance with company standards, including ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and regulatory requirements. Commercial Excellence & Negotiation: Own the annual category spend (c. US$30m) and be accountable for achieving margin targets. Drive optimum profitability by negotiating commercial terms, costs, and payment terms to secure the best value for the business. What you'll need to have: Minimum of 5 years of relevant buying or sourcing experience, preferably within the Beauty industry (skincare, cosmetics, or suncare experience is highly advantageous). Proven track record in managing a significant budget and delivering high-profile product development projects from concept to launch. Demonstrated experience in supplier management, negotiation, and strategic partnership development. High proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
