Role Overview The Conference & Events Sales Manager is a revenue-driving role responsible for selling delegate passes, sponsorships, exhibitions, and long-term partnerships across our global event portfolio. This is not an entry-level position and not a role where processes are spoon-fed. We are looking for self-starters who know how to sell , manage their own pipeline, and close business independently. Simply put:we are here to pay you very well if you produce significant revenue. Key Responsibilities Drive direct revenue through delegate, sponsorship, exhibitor, and partnership sales Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and account growth Meet and exceed individual revenue targets Upsell and cross-sell clients across multiple events, regions, and industries Business Development Identify and develop new clients, markets, and verticals Build long‑term commercial relationships and repeat business Expand existing accounts into multi‑event and multi‑year partnerships Proactively generate leads through outreach, networking, and referrals Client Engagement Sell to senior decision‑makers including CEOs, CMOs, Directors, Heads of Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and public‑sector leaders Conduct discovery calls, needs assessments, and commercial presentations Act as a trusted advisor, aligning event participation with client objectives Internal & Event Collaboration Work closely with conference production, marketing, and operations teams Provide market intelligence to improve event positioning and sponsor value Attend and support live conferences and international events as required Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline Forecast revenue and report against targets Track closed deals, renewals, and account growth Skills & Capabilities Strong B2B sales capability with a proven closing track record Confident negotiator able to sell value, not discounts Comfortable selling high‑value, relationship‑driven products Highly organized, disciplined, and self‑directed Communication & Languages Exceptionally strong English communication skills required Additional languages are a significant advantage Professional phone presence and strong written communication Personal Attributes Highly independent and self‑starting Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership mentality Comfortable working without heavy supervision or hand‑holding Motivated by performance‑based earnings and uncapped upside Experience Requirements 3–7+ years of experience in one or more of the following: conference and events sales sponsorship or partnership sales B2B media or advertising sales exhibition or trade show sales Experience selling internationally or across borders is highly valued Experience working with senior corporate or government stakeholders preferred Performance Expectations Consistently meet or exceed agreed revenue targets Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline Develop repeat, multi‑event clients Contribute meaningfully to company growth and profitability Competitive base salary, based on experience Unlimited commission with no earning cap High upside for top performers Opportunity for international travel and global exposure Clear path to senior sales or commercial leadership roles Who This Role Is For This role is ideal for someone who: Wants to make serious money based on performance Enjoys talking to senior people around the world Is energized by international business and travel Thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast‑moving environment Takes full ownership of results If you are looking for structure, training, or hand‑holding, this role is not a fit.If you are confident in your sales ability and want freedom, responsibility, and uncapped earnings , this is exactly that kind of job.
