IT Business Analyst (at the rank of IT Officer/IT Technician) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 530937) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Communication, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in IT Business Analysis or related fields.
  • Sound understanding of business analysis practices and IT best practices, including as-is/to-be analysis, gap analysis, fishbone analysis, and agile approach.
  • Exposure to hands-on data analytic practices with tools such as Python, Microsoft Excel, and SQL.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities:

  • Solutions sourcing and evaluation.
  • Soliciting, analyzing, and converting user requirements into system specifications.
  • Prioritizing user requirements according to business impacts.
  • Performing quality assurance tests before user acceptance tests.
  • Preparing project documents and artifacts, including requirement specifications, communication strategies, test plans, training materials, and user procedure manuals.
  • Contributing to project solution delivery by coordinating with involved stakeholders.
  • Developing system mock-ups and proof-of-concept (PoC).
