Europe's leading payments provider - Senior Consultant (COBOL) This role requires a Senior Consultant (COBOL) to provide expertise and support in the development and implementation of COBOL-based solutions. This opportunity is with a Europe's leading payments provider for its significant contributions to the Financial Services industry. The company is known for driving technological advancements and offering a robust platform for career growth. Description Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more enterprise-grade payment system products used widely in the financial services industry. Deliver training sessions to both clients and internal teams to ensure effective product understanding and usage. Develop comprehensive Statements of Requirements and Functional Specifications based on client needs and system capabilities. Review and validate Functional and Technical Specifications, as well as System Test Plans, to ensure alignment with business objectives. Leverage product expertise to support accurate project estimation and planning. Collaborate with project teams throughout the software development lifecycle, offering guidance and support. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and evolution of payment system products, ensuring they remain competitive and compliant. Lead development initiatives focused on designing and implementing new features within payment platforms. Provide consultative support to clients by analyzing business requirements, evaluating existing systems, and identifying opportunities for improvement to better align with strategic goals. Profile Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology or related disciplines. Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience with IBM I (formerly IBM AS/400) and COBOL programming. Strong domain knowledge in credit card processing and payment systems. Solid understanding of the broader financial and banking industry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from HKD 600,000 to HKD 840,000 annually. Collaborative and innovative work environment.
