Our client is one of the largest general insurance company worldwide with the regional headquarter well-established in Hong Kong. We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Financial Controller looking after the Asia Pacific region with the responsibilities of: Support the divisional and group strategic decision making processes and achievement of reporting obligations by the provision of timely, accurate and relevant financial information and technical accounting advice Contribute to the overall development and execution of finance strategy, with particular responsibility for accounting policies and procedures for local statutory and regulatory reporting requirements Facilitate strategy and vision around divisional financial operations by communicating process improvements, providing insight on financial accounting & reporting tools, guiding financial team and implementing efficient financial processes. Oversee accounting department operations including the month-end closing process, financial reporting and cash management by contributing to the design of organizational structure, maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, issuing timely and accurate financial statements Ensure tax compliance, develop and manage tax planning strategies to the Company's best interest Assess and continuously improve the overall performance of financial control and processes and services Requirements Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related disciplines Qualified Accountant with at least ten (10) years' relevant regional experience in Financial Controlling Regional exposure to general insurance business is highly preferred Proven experience of contributing to the management of a complex financial services business at executive level Hands‑on experience in accounting and taxation for the APAC region Thorough technical knowledge of all primary financial statement reporting Knowledge of industry best practice in finance and accounting, taxation, internal control and procedures for APAC region Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese We accept applicants from local Hong Kong market or overseas applications.
