Job Overview We’re currently looking for a high‑caliber professional to join our team as Senior Vice President, Credit Group Manager – Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Credit Group Manager – C14) based in Hong Kong. You will be a senior leader with strong underwriting, customer and risk‑management skills, responsible for assuring underwriting and portfolio quality and process integrity. This position will assist in ensuring the Commercial Bank achieves its financial goals and exercises lending authority. Responsibilities Has responsibility for portfolios of middle‑market companies in Hong Kong and Japan. Manages the credit portfolio and ensures that the credit and underwriting process in each market meets Citi standards, and that all credit monitoring and maintenance policies are followed. Coordinates with regional management and works with Credit Administration unit to track and follow up the completion and filing of annual reviews, covenant compliance checklists, inspections and other reporting requirements. Approves credit requests and annual reviews within coverage limits; approves short‑term credit requirements such as overdrafts and settlement exposure. Facilitates the underwriting and documentation of credit products for new and existing clients, structures credit products and proposals with Bankers that meet internal risk standards. Coaches and trains Underwriters with respect to the credit and underwriting process. Accurately reviews risk ratings and is responsible for early problem recognition. Assists in Credit Risk portfolio reporting. Participates in client and prospect calls as a senior calling officer when needed. Coordinates and assists in audits as required. Manages a group of underwriters and credit analysts. Performs other duties and functions as assigned. Ensures appropriate risk assessment in business decisions, demonstrates ethical judgment, and escalates control issues with transparency while supervising others. Qualifications and Skills 10+ years’ experience in commercial credit decision making authority for credits up to $10 million and greater. Expert knowledge of credit products (formal credit training required). Demonstrates excellent financial and analytic skills and the ability to rapidly assimilate complex information. Sharp business development focus with innovative approaches. Bachelor’s or University degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
