Join to apply for the Assistant Manager, Credit Initiation role at Standard Chartered 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Summary Grant a prudent credit decision by assessing and evaluating customer’s creditworthiness (including existing customer and new application) for Retail mortgage and wealth management products Manage the daily operations of the Credit Initiation units (Secured Lending) to ensure services rendered meet the agreed service standards Regularly review work steps to improve productivity on services provided and control measures. Ensure consistency in underwriting standard. Facilitate and support launch of new products. Key Responsibilities Engage proactively in various projects to pinpoint areas for enhancing turnaround time and accuracy Support the rollout of new business initiatives, marketing campaigns, and revenue-generating programs Make informed credit decisions by thoroughly assessing customer creditworthiness for retail mortgage and wealth management products Oversee daily operations of the Credit Initiation units (Secured Lending) to ensure service quality aligns with established standards Continuously review workflows to boost productivity and strengthen control measures Maintain uniformity in underwriting standards across processes Assist in the seamless launch of new products Perform credit evaluations on consumer credit applications in compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements Stay informed about current fraud schemes to effectively prevent and combat fraudulent activities Adhere to anti-money laundering protocols and promptly report any suspicious behavior to the Unit Money Laundering Prevention Officer and line manager Skills and Experience Broad understanding of banking information management infrastructure and operational processes Ability to provide strategic direction to the function Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and lead teams in changing & challenging situations Strong analytical and dispute resolution skills, and the ability to command the respect of a cross-functional set of professionals at a senior level Ability to make independent decisions with a strong sense of empowerment Skills in project management and process improvement Qualifications Languages: Cantonese, Mandarin and English About Standard Chartered We're an international bank, nimble enough to act, big enough for impact.
