Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Business Analyst to bridge the gap between our strategic business objectives and technological execution. You will be instrumental in analysing, defining, and delivering requirements for new features, trading products, and core platform enhancements. The ideal candidate is not only an expert in business analysis methodologies but also possesses a strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and the operational complexities of a digital asset exchange. Responsibilities Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Work closely with Operation, Risk, Compliance, and Engineering teams to gather and document detailed business and functional requirements. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and feasibility studies to define project scope and objectives. Create clear and concise user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications. Analyse and define requirements for new features such as spot/futures/options trading, staking, lending, and wallet services. Focus on improving user experience (UX), trading performance, liquidity, and security across the platform. Perform gap analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement. Data-Driven Insights Utilize SQL, analytics platforms, and market data to analyse trading patterns, user behaviour, and system performance. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports to help stakeholders make informed, data-driven decisions. Regulatory & Compliance Collaboration Partner with the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure that all new products and features adhere to relevant regulations (e.g., KYC/AML, MiCA, Travel Rule). Document requirements for compliance-related features and reporting. Stakeholder Management & Communication Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development/QA teams. Facilitate clear and continuous communication, ensuring all parties are aligned throughout the project lifecycle. Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a cryptocurrency exchange, fintech, brokerage, or investment banking environment. Solid understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and digital assets. Familiarity with exchange core concepts: order books, matching engines, liquidity, settlement, and custody. Experience with API documentation (REST, WebSocket, FIX) and ability to discuss technical integration requirements with developers. Proven expertise in creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flow diagrams (UML, BPMN). Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, and SQL. Strong data analysis skills to derive actionable insights. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment. Experience with specific exchange products like margin trading, derivatives (perpetual swaps, futures). Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing crypto exchanges (e.g., KYC/AML, MiFID II, etc.). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
