Job Description - Senior Test Manager-ERP (Ref: 2500002I)
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to oversee the testing lifecycle of the ERP system implementation project including Oracle EBS, Financial Consolidation/Tax Reporting, Satellite Integration, Digital Workflow & Data Warehouse solutions to ensure high-quality deliverables through effective testing strategies and methodologies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, including functional, integration, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing, to meet project objectives and ensure desired business outcomes.
- Oversee test planning and preparation from third-party System Integration (SI) and internal staff to ensure comprehensive test coverage and adherence to defined standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, business leads, technical leads, and other stakeholders to define and execute testing efforts.
- Coordinate with all functional and technical stakeholders to facilitate test execution, address risks and eliminate barriers to successful execution, and report status regularly to the Programme Management Office and project steering committees.
- Leverage automation frameworks for regression and performance testing to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness whilst providing insights on best practices in system testing and defect resolution.
- Lead triage calls for defect prioritization, tracking, management, and closure to ensure timely resolution of issues. Perform root cause analysis to eliminate sources of issues and improve quality over time.
- Manage resource planning including training and talent development, and fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Systems or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience, preferably gained in consultancy for renowned large-scale system implementation vendors, of which 4 years should be at managerial level.
- Proven experience in leading software testing and quality assurance activities as well as managing end-to-end testing for large-scale enterprise systems projects in corporate domains including Finance and Procurement.
- Demonstrated familiarity with multiple system delivery methodologies including SDLC and Agile, with proficiency in relevant test management tools, defect tracking systems, and performance test toolsets.
- Strong project management skills with solid experience in leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment and experience in management of 3rd party SI for test execution.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills with excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with stakeholders and internal customers at different levels of seniority.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills with good command of written and spoken English; fluency in written and spoken Cantonese is preferred.
