Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Fixed Income Trader to join our trading team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trading fixed income securities, including government bonds, corporate bonds, and other debt instruments. The Fixed Income Trader will be responsible for executing trades to optimize profit and minimize risk, while adhering to the company's trading policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Execution:Execute trades in fixed income securities according to predefined trading strategies and within risk parameters.
  • Market Analysis:Analyze market trends and economic data to identify trading opportunities and potential risks.
  •  Position Management:Manage the firm's fixed income positions, ensuring adherence to risk limits and regulatory requirements.
  • Pricing and Valuation: Determine the appropriate pricing and valuation of fixed income securities.
  • Liquidity Provision: Provide liquidity to the market by quoting bid and ask prices for fixed income instruments.
  • Relationship Management:Maintain and develop relationships with market participants, including brokers, dealers, and institutional clients.
  • Compliance:Ensure all trading activities are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Reporting:Prepare and submit regular trading reports to management, including trade summaries, position reports, and risk assessments.
  • Technology Utilization:Utilize trading platforms and software effectively to execute trades and manage risk.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of market developments and regulatory changes to refine trading strategies and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines, demonstrating a strong academic background and numeric sense.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience (fixed income research/ advisory experience preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Independent self-motivator with high work integrity and intellectual curiosity in developing skills across various asset classes.
  • Familiarity with investment research platforms and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar).
