Job Description - Assistant Manager - Corporate Strategy (Ref: 25000093)
Responsibilities
- Support in coordinating departmental engagements with various Business Units and Functions to facilitate the discussion, review and formation of business strategies.
- Assist with periodic strategy implementation reviews which track, monitor and report progress and achievements of implementation of corporate strategy initiatives, corporate-wide strategic directions and priorities, as well as evolving opportunities and challenges.
- Be involved in and support with market research and analyses on new policy updates and development, latest innovation and technology trends, local and overseas general business and economic conditions, competitive landscape, industry best practices etc. to assist senior management with shaping the discussion and formation of strategic priorities and actions for the Corporation.
- Assist with projects and research work to support MTR's involvement and participation in World Economic Forum events including relevant research on designated themes, engagement strategy and line-to-take for senior management.
- Support in driving departmental staff engagement initiatives and team building activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration / Finance / Engineering / Law / Science or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in corporate strategy, business development or consulting is an advantage.
- Strong business acumen with good planning, research and analytical skills, and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Able to understand and navigate through complex data / information to derive insights and present them through effective visuals and slides.
- Proficiency in computer applications e.g., PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with Generative AI applications is a plus.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
