The Director of Marketing and Communications is a brand lead for Rosewood Hong Kong developing a holistic strategy to position Rosewood as a luxury lifestyle leader and implement the brand marketing communications, brand events and digital content plan and is passionate to be creative and has experience in managing content creation, planning and production. This also includes building synergistic luxury partnerships and creating awareness for the property to showcase the hotel as a lifestyle destination, including 413 Hotel Rooms and Suites; 186 Residences; 12 bars and restaurants; Asaya Spa and Retail.

This profile is required to also be business proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Ideally located in Hong Kong, or a candidate who has had previous experience in Hong Kong and is able to relocate. The Director of Marketing and Communications should have the knowledge, connections and relationships to understand the culture of Hong Kong, relationships with the local community, media and  society. This role should have extensive experience in luxury lifestyle within the region in retail, travel, entertainment, and agencies would be advantageous.

The position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stakeholder Management

  • Ability to liaise, partner and develop mutually beneficial relationships across hotel departments as well as multiple stakeholders in the corporate office
  • Ability to partner and develop strong effective business relationships with the corporate office
  • Develop mutual respect and partnership with key operational stakeholders in the hotel to execute key strategies and initiatives
  • Balance business acumen approach with the hotel operations’ needs
  • Balance the relationship between Rosewood Hong Kong and several quasi-government entities

Team Management

  • Coach, manage and mentor a team across multiple disciplines including:
    • Public Relations, including Social Impact community Public Relations
    • Food & Beverage marketing
    • Asaya PR & Marketing
    • Digital Marketing, including social channels (including China channels) and paid media
    • Partnerships
    • Graphic Design

Partnerships & Creative campaigns

  • Lead Rosewood Hong Kong’s partnership strategy, not only managing and executing existing partnership agreements, but also identifying new brands to collaborate with to create experiences
  • Partnerships and activations across different verticals e.g. luxury retail, fashion, Food & Beverage
  • Creative concept design thinking around key seasonal moments, including Chinese New Year, Hotel’s annual anniversary, Mooncake and Festive Seasons
  • Ability to project manage from concept to execution phase

PR Companies

  • Manage the relationship, strategy, and execution of campaign work across multiple local and international PR agencies
