My client a fast growing security house is looking for a director of stock lending and borrowing to join their growing team. You will be responsible for setting up the desk and documentations, managing the daily operations, and developing the business strategy for the stock lending and borrowing activities.

As a director of stock lending and borrowing, you will:

  • Lead a team of traders and analysts to execute stock lending and borrowing transactions across various markets and products
  • Establish and maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, custodians, and regulators
  • Negotiate and review contracts, agreements, and collateral arrangements
  • Monitor and manage the risk, performance, and profitability of the portfolio
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities and markets to grow the business
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in stock lending and borrowing, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of securities markets, products, and regulations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
