The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), which comprises 30+ faculty members, 400+ undergraduate students and 400+ postgraduate students, possesses world-leading expertise in aeroacoustics, mechanics, materials, manufacturing, and energy technologies.

The Department of MAE invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor) and is seeking outstanding candidates with a strong commitment to research and teaching in the field of Aerospace Engineering.

The positions are open to all areas of Aerospace Engineering, including but not limited to:

Aerodynamics and aeroacousticsAerospace structures and materialsAir transport and operationsAutonomous systems and controlElectric and hydrogen propulsionIntelligent transportation systemsSatellite communication and navigationSustainable aviation

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering or related fields, and a strong record of research and teaching excellence. In addition to research, the successful candidates will be expected to expand the teaching curriculum in Aerospace Engineering. As a faculty member, there will be the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues in a dynamic and supportive environment. The appointees will also be expected to establish an externally-funded research program as well as contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. 

Applications for positions at all ranks (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) will be considered. Competitive salaries commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Ample opportunities for professional growth and development are available. Fringe benefits including medical and dental benefits, annual leave and housing benefits, where applicable, will be provided. Appointment as Professor will be on substantive basis while appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor will normally be on a three-year contract. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
