Job Summary: 
As an Assistant Analyst for the Data Management and Governance team and become a key member of AXA Data & Analytics CoE. Within the team you will be responsible for deploying key Data and AI Governance processes that pertain to the management, development, and consumption of data and AI initiatives across AXA Hong Kong and Macau.


Essential Functions of the Job:

Master Data Management:

Validate and deduplicate customer profiles using specialized tools. Make decisions on customer data based on pre-agreed rules. Communicate internally on data remediation status, including root cause analysis. Enhance and maintain scripts for process automation using Data Bricks in the Azure cloud environment.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

Support internal stakeholders in data reconsolidation and cleaning using data visualization tools and analytical reports. Document, monitor, and report on progress. Identify areas for improvement in data quality throughout its lifecycle. Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.

Data and AI Governance:

Support the team in improving the Data Governance Framework from various data management perspectives.  Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Support the team in relevant activities involved in AI Governance and AIOps.

Ensure adherence to data governance and data quality guidelines and ensure clear accountability. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with various stakeholders across the organization to achieve the goals defined in the data governance and data management strategies.


Your Profile

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Analytical and systematic mindset, capable of analysing complex situations and deriving actionable solutions. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience in presentation and project management, preferred. Familiarity with data visualization tools (, Tableau, Power BI).  Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation (preferred). Familiarity with metadata management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms (preferred). Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes, and design principles (preferred). Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization (preferred). Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to data governance, and suggest appropriate modifications to existing policies and practices.

Qualifications:

Ideally with 1-2 years working in a large financial institution in an operational or data role, if not, a fresh graduate will be considered. Degree with Hons preferred. Any AI, Data Management, Applicable Vendor, or Industry certification is preferred not mandatory.
