The Opportunity

Key responsibilities:

Coordination and alignment

Bring together, and influence stakeholders, to ensure GenAI activities across the firm (in region) are consistent with the agreed strategy, and meeting expectations of the business. This spans activities within business functions (Knowledge, Learning and Research, HR, BD, etc.), the practices (supported by wider Digital Change team) and the Firm's wider Digital Transformation programme. Ensuring GenAI risk issues are factored in and appropriately addressed across the portfolio is a critical responsibility (in collaboration with appropriate experts).
 

Governance

Lead working group(s) of responsible parties across functions / teams to ensure activities are progressing as required and in a coordinated way and as appropriate / needed, do this through formal governance processes.

Contribute to the Firm's Digital Transformation governance to ensure alignment between all GenAI activities and wider Digital Change agenda.
 

Technical Delivery (oversight)

Oversee GenAI technical delivery, whether carried out by resource in the GenAI CoE team, IT or through a 3rd party. Ensure the required resourcing and expertise is in place to effectively meet business needs. Be flexible and able to adapt delivery strategy as needed.
 

Engagement

Work closely with the Digital Change CoE in Change Management to contribute to the firm's overall approach to engagement and change relating to Digital.

Specifically, engage with and be visible with internal stakeholders across the practices to remain up to date with the needs of our lawyers, to track adoption levels and levels of understanding regarding GenAI to evolve focus areas and inform strategy.

May be required to promote GenAI to clients on occasion but primary engagement focus for this role will be on internal engagement.

Qualifications, skills and experience

Qualifications, skills and experience:

At least five years of experience in the legal or professional services sector with a strong academic record. Internal candidates should already be operating at least a Senior Manager level. Technical proficiency and understanding of GenAI and the GenAI landscape Strong record of delivering outcomes at pace in a complex environment. Ability to adapt approach and be flexible when needed. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels and functions across different offices. Pragmatic and strategic approach to solving problems.
